We've invited Sarah and Aitana from The Little Cooking Pot , you might know them from their beautiful book we've been selling in our shop for a while now! It's a collection of recipes and stories from their many travels. Their cooking offers some fresh insights on cooking with British seasonal food, following an agricultural-based calendar.
The Supper Club has been set up with our 'Not Just Bread’ programme in mind. This is the newest iteration of the 'Just Bread’ programme that e5 Bakehouse has been running with the Refugee Council since around 2012. Upcoming May/June we want to run an 8-week long course which teaches 10-12 people with refugee status how to make sourdough. But it doesn’t just stop there!
Some of our alumni have gone on to work in bakeries, including ours! Some have gone on to start their own sucessful businesses. So, why did we change the name after so many years? Well we realised that for us, making bread is never just about bread, but making connections, sharing ideas and strengthening communities.
