Join us for an olive oil inspired mezze dinner served with e5 Bakehouse bread on Thursday August 3rd. We're very excited to invite the team behind Broudou magazine & friends for an evening where they'll be playing with recipes from different places having olive oil as a starting point.

Dinner starts at 8 PM.

BROUDOU is an independent collective which works together with researchers, farmers, artists and other actors within the food landscape in Tunis. Their field research, immersive & embodied workshops, and food experiences, are archived in the form of a yearly printed publication. BROUDOU Magazine is a publication and research platform at the intersection between food, politics and art, dedicated to exploring the future of food in Tunisia.

Issue 01 of the magazine investigates an anthropology of bread and regroups reflections on the cultural, social, political, ecological, emotional, spiritual, and economic aspects of bread production and consumption.

BROUDOU was founded in 2021 by Aziza Gorgi, Emily Saram, and Yasmin Houamed as the manifestation of a deep connection over food shared between friends. Motivated by a growing disconnection with the origins of what we eat in urban environments, the Magazine offers knowledge and inspiration to think about food’s political, cultural and social lives while also inviting readers to engage in practices where food reflects systems that enrich rather than exploit their source materials.

BROUDOU's latest issue is dedicated to olive oil and was launched in June 2023.

BROUDOU Magazine is currently supported by Goethe-Institut Tunesien

Both publications will be available for sale in our Millhouse shop
