Advanced Bread Class
This class is designed for those who have already taken our breadmaking class or are confident home bakers looking to further their skills and knowledge of sourdough.
Following on from our original bread class, the e5 bakehouse ‘advanced bread class’ offers you the opportunity to consider various aspects of sourdough baking in depth.
While showing you how to make three more breads – the seeded rye, a basic country loaf and the e5 baguette – we will use these recipes and their ingredients to consider and discuss some further baking issues: ‘young’ vs ‘mature’ sourdough, stone-milling vs roller-milling, fresh vs old flour, heritage vs modern grains, etc.
The course will be led by one of our experienced bakers and offers an opportunity for students to engage with them on issues, obstacles and difficulties they’ve encountered in their own sourdough baking experiences.
We appreciate that there will be circumstances whereby you will need to cancel your booking or change the date.
